I’ve found for RP purposes that numbers are a bit misleading and tricky to work with. So instead try to do relative sizes. If Kanko was put on the floor, would she be about the same size as a 1 liter soda bottle? Little bigger, little smaller? Or would she be more comparable to a cup?((I suppose It would be easier to compare her to a Common Soda Can. This is only due to it being the closest thing I have to me right now… I suppose, From just assuming the size, Around the height of a 330 ml Can, Maybe slightly bigger but not by a significant amount.))
Try writing about her daily life, her opinion on the people she’s met/lives with, and something about her relative size. I noted while writing I couldn’t really visualize how small she’s supposed to be.
((I could But yet again I wouldn’t know where to start…Also I am currently Trying to get the Exact size of this Kanko But, Am having little success, I can tell you she is not a ridiculous size like a few Cm… But I don’t want to make her too Big so that she Removes the trait that Kanko possess..Maybe around 4-5 Inches But, still unsure. She needs to be small enough to carry around….))
The reporter smiled at the small Youkai’s manners. Certainly more than he would have done in her shoes, but that’s another story all-together.
Reaching into his pocket with slow and deliberate movements, Daichi pulled out his notebook and a mango. As Aka spoke, he bit off a chunk of the delicious fruit and listened attentively while mentally cataloging information. Single tail, bright eyes. Shy. Tiny stature. Juvenile? Probable. Seems nervous. Well mannered; better than any of the Satori’s other pets. Red fur significant? Possible. File for later.
“One of Ms Komieji’s pets? I didn’t know she had any Kitsunes. Were you born Underground, Ms Aka?” The Karasu didn’t see any damage or hear any of the typical mental illness that so often comes with that Satori’s pets. “Did she give that doll as well?”
The Kanko watched as the reporter rummaged through his pocket for the Mango, still consuming the Tofu piece.she made sure to swallow everything inside her mouth before speaking, once Again, not the most desirable of all sights. she seem to speak with a slightly more energetic tone But remained with a stutter.
“n-no, I-I was bo-orn On th-he surf-ace….M-Mister Dai-chi Tengu si-ir….”
She would have Picked her doll Pack up but she had yet to wipe her Hands, so she simply took another Segment of the Tofu, she only took small Sections due to her not wanting to appear that of a Gluttonous Youkai, despite that being what her species were well known for. She spoke before Eating.
“A-And no…..I-I got the D-Doll befo-re Li-Iving with S-Satori-Sa-ama…”
After finally uttering the Final words of that, she placed the tofu in her mouth and began Chewing, savoring the taste of it, This was a rare treat for the Kuda-Gitsune.
Yes, it was wise of Yoroko to have thought of this one as potentially dangerous. Already she could see the rodent’s little mind swirl around, flitting from idea to the other for an idea of escape. If she had given the little mouse a chance, this exchange would have never happened. In fact, the mouse would be long gone, even with the large kitsune’s ability to trap others with shadows, she wouldn’t be able to act fast enough to catch her… and a creature of the Kanko’s stature would easily be able to slip through the shadows and still escape.
“So you could notice it as well… I guess we ARE rather similar.”
She suddenly pounced forwards, but as she jumped, shadows would cover her body. The paws would turn into hands, the cruel predator’s face shifted into a much gentler, yet still cold, human face, and the extending claw that would have torn the young rat suddenly, almost instantly, turned into a hand that would firmly, but softly pet the little kitsune, scooping her off the ground. When Yoroko returned to a human form, she was on her hands and knees, and was now standing up as she took the little Kanko into her hands, raising the creature to her face. The smile was a sneer, but in a more victorious scene. She had won, the prey was right here for anything the kumiho wished to do, be it to feed or interrogate or otherwise.
This kitsune didn’t seem to know Yokoro’s species, or more specifically, her origins. It was interesting, that her scent still held the traces of her Korean lineage. Or perhaps it was the blood, her origin as a kumiho and a true resident of Korea, that would keep her branded, something that would always remain to loudly proclaim that she was indeed a foreigner. Hopefully, an isolated world like this would not think twice about the issue of foreigners. But should this world be anything like the Japan that she had seen, then there would be no hesitation from Yoroko’s end. She had gone so far to reach her goals, and would not have them be ended by the unfortunate and horrible result of some pathetic brainless Japanese try and take it from her. She’d like to see them try. Yoroko walked to the trunk of a tree and sat in its shade, holding the Kanko with both hands, so they could meet face to face…
“What kind of small creature are you, though? You do have quite a distinct scent… it’s a kitsune, but also someone else… something else…”
The picking Up was so sudden it didn’t allow the Kanko to do, well…Anything!, she could Only sit back and watch as this Murder Scooped her Up as if she was a rodent, about to be disposed of. The direct contact between their eye sights only caused the Tube-fox To feel more and more intimidated and vulnerable, she was completely unaware that this Fox was simply treating her as if she was her prey, If she had known she would have done anything and everything to try and get out of the Foxes ‘Death claws’, That she had just been forced into.
Aka hesitated answering the Fox Monster, the stare from the Foxes eye’s send a series of shivers down her body, From Ears to Tail.
“S-Something E-Else?” Aka was unsure what she meant by this, Naturally she is incapable of smelling her own scent. so she had no idea what lied within it. For some reason she didn’t seem to mention her species.
Seriously, they can be random or silly as hell. I’m simply curious to hear what my followers assume about me.
(But Aka is an OC…. So wouldn’t it just be canon instead of headcanon?)
So she didn’t notice much, did she. Well now that Yoroko could actually see this kitsune, it became a bit more obvious. This wasn’t any normal kitsune. A little more tolerable, and yet more abhorrent. This little child, basically a rat, was even more deviated from the normal idea of the kitsune. Was she to be associated? Probably. But is she anything like how a true youkai should be? Proud, powerful? Strong? As she had barely tried to do anything to the kitsune, nothing had happened. She was weak. Even weaker than a kitsune. Weaker than youkai. No, weaker than any animal that lives under the trees.
A horrible excuse for a living being, to the kumiho. And it was that feeling, that sickly sight of the kuda-gitsune that caused her to begin to act. The brown on her fur turned into a truer form of black, and she stopped her digging to approach the little rodent. The shade did nothing to conceal the grin on her face, a malicious type of smile that wished to do nothing but consume, to tear that flesh layer by layer until one limb was stripped to the bone on only one side. A bone which would then be snapped as the kumiho would begin the next limb. Then the others, then the back, which would end with a broken spine. Then the neck, but the strips of flesh would be all around, until there was a prominent gap between the head and the rest of the body, with nothing but white bone that connected the two. And then she would feed.
But that was for later. Much later. For now, this little one has probably seen much from her world, her viewpoint, that little microcosm viewed only by her. The small are interesting, as they are the weakest and most pathetic, but also has the most clutch use of being capable of seeing everything around them with pinpoint accuracy, for being able to plan a route, and execute the plan. It was dangerous to let her escape. That was another problem. The little rat could not escape now. Here was not a good place. Still too close to the main road. But she’ll find a way to trap her. With a kumiho like her, it would not be difficult at all. Not at all.
The black fox now approached the kanko threateningly, fangs hidden, but the lips curled to create the basis for her predatory gaze. Her eyes were narrowed to a slit, and the only sound that would come would be the gentle shifting of gravel under the paws, and the snort of air as she sniffed at the pest. She sat down in front of her, but not in a standard way. It was more like a crouch, prepared to jump when the young one would run. The predatory look faded from her lips as she began to speak, in a sweet, light-hearted tone, in a motherly tone. Her eyes widened, however, and managed to hold the same sharpened glare…
“You carry a certain scent to you, though I’ve never seen a youkai quite like you before.”
The Kanko was planning an Easy way to escape from the Fox as soon as the Fox began approaching But,It wasn’t that easy, The fox had covered the front direction meaning the only left direction would be Behind but that would just send her into the forest deeper, Basically making her an easy Target. She could Just disappear But, She had not eaten in a while and the Laziness had already began to sink in. This Kanko trait was going to be the death of her But eh, What could you do?
Anyway, Back to the problem at Hand, a random Fox has just Crouched down in front of you with ‘Death’ written within every square inch of her Now slit pupil’d eyes, Usually she would be trembling Uncontrollably But for some reason, She wasn’t trembling to an Incredible amount, she was still letting out the slight Shiver to the Fox But not what one would expect out of her, Maybe it was to do with the Fact she was, Like her, a type of Fox mythology, But, from what Aka could smell Not a local one. Maybe something to do with Instinct? Territory? she just didn’t know.
“I-I could S-Say the S-s-same Abo-out yo-ou, Mi-iss….”
Despite her lack of trembling her Voice still showed the fear she was hiding. She did Take a step Back though.
